Virgil began full-time ministry in 1990 when he became senior pastor of Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Kentucky. Over the last 3 ½ years, Eastside has gone from a weekly attendance of 250 to an average weekly attendance of 750.
Virgil is a creative thinker, strategist, and guide. His passion is to help individuals and entities to bring clarity, purpose and direction to work and life. This is the reason he launched Virgil Grant Consulting. He is certified by the Paterson Center of Fort Collins, Colorado as a facilitator of the StratOp Process for businesses and churches, and the LifePlan Process for individuals.
Virgil graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990; a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1996; and a Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia International Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina in 2003. He is married to Rosemary, and they have two children: Rachel and Jacob.
