Celebrating – A New Discipline

Friends,

Vivian Wallace (a staff member at Eastside) has been begging us for years to become more celebartory as a church. After many years, we have finally embraced her vision. Here is our plan….

Bishop Desmond Tutu once stated: “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”

We are going to celebrate your “little bit of good” in making disciples as a church. Here is what I know…Disciples making disciples honors God and inspires people.  We are going to celebrate when you take cookies to your neighbors, as you prayer walk around your neighborhood, visit someone in the hospital, or just go to the waiting room and pray. We are going to celebrate every time someone comes to Christ, each baptism, every new member (baptizing 2 this Sunday), each new volunteer, each new small group that launches, we are going to celebrate what God is doing in and through us. We are going to recognize each “little bit of good” with the understand that each “little bit of good” is going to overwhelm our community.  Are you ready to celebrate?

Please share with us where you see disciples making disciples or “little bit of good” taking place. We would love to share your story with the rest of the Eastside family.

I love you guys. Great days are ahead of us. Our brightest days are before us.

Happy Weekend…See you Sunday….Don’t forget to park away from the building and arrive early.

Pastor VG

Nice! There is much to be noticed and much to be celebrated. God loves to use His church!
