Thank You, Thank You

August 28, 2012

This past weekend was a HUGE SUCCESS due to your faithfulness and generosity. Here is a brief recap:

Tracks for Packs 5K Run/Walk – 342 participants ran the race with over 400 participants registered. We will have final dollar amounts later but I think we are going to clear over $15,000.00 to feed hungry children of Madison County.

Friend Day – Unbelievable. Off the charts. We had 500 in attendance for worship and served 275 people lunch. We had a lot of great compliments on the way the church looked. We had a lot of first time guests. Great job, Eastsiders.

There is no rest for the weary. Here is what is coming up:

This Sunday, I will begin a two-part sermon series titled, Dangerous Church. I really believe that Eastside is on the very of being dangerous. Part of the worship time this Sunday, Eastside will have the ordination service for Dan Robertson. Dan is member at Eastside. Dan would like to be more involved in ministry here in Madison County and his ordination will help to facilitate this process.

Sunday, September 9th Eastside will move to 2 worship services at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. We still need a few more people to take the “plunge” and move to the NEW 9:30 am worship service.

Sunday, September 9th at 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Richmond we are encouraging everyone to attend the Know Hope Live Concert. Eastside is sponsoring this event and it will last for 90 minutes.

Wednesday, September 12th – NOT A FAN MOVIE NIGHT – all small groups can invite friends and family to the movie – doors open at 5:30pm; movie begins at 6:15pm (80 minute movie)

Sunday, September 16th Eastside will launch our new church-wide spiritual campaign – NOT A FAN. If you have not already signed up for a small group then please contact Greg Gillum at or stop by Connexions on Sunday morning located inside the worship center.
